The Troop will gather at 6:30pm on Monday, May 19 at Spring Brook Cemetery . We will be placing flags at the gravesites of veterans to honor them in advance of Memorial Day. Note the earlier time.

The March Blood Drive will be on Wednesday, March 18. Service is a keystone of Scouting, and we would love to see more than the same 5 scouts volunteer for this important community service. Scouts have the opportunity to staff the welcome table or the snack table. The time that you put in counts towards Community Service requirements for advancement. Please remember that we represent the Boy Scouts of America at this event, so a Class A uniform is important. A scout is also friendly. The monthly blood drive will be held on Wednesday, February 18. This is during School vacation, so many should be able to help. During this time of year, especially, the Red Cross blood drives are especially important, as many cannot make the trip to donate blood at area hospitals. Sign-ups for service project slots are available at Sign-up Genius Veteran’s Appreciation Luncheon When: Sunday, November 9th, 11:30 am – 12:45 pm Where: Orthodox Congregational Church Our chartered organization, the Orthodox Congregational Church, will host a Veteran’s Lunch on Nov 9th. The Troop will serve as color guard. America's military veterans have served our country in battle during two World Wars, and in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and other places near and far. They did their part. Many are still doing their part. On Veterans Day, it's our turn to honor and serve them. All scouts are encouraged to give service back to those who served for us. Join us at the church to bring in the colors and meet these extraordinary individuals, who have given service for our country. This is a Class A event. Eagle Project Help Needed – Saturday, September 6th & 13th at 10am – Jack Moran is asking his fellow scouts for help with his Eagle Project. He would like to invite all scouts and parents to assist with clearing the site for his project, which is the outdoor classroom between the Robinson and the Jordan/Jackson Schools. The meeting time is 10:00 am in the back parking lot behind the Robinson School. Please bring work gloves, bug repellent, and rakes if possible. Water & pizza for lunch will be provided. This project is approved by the Scoutmaster for advancement purposes. The Troop will participate in a memorial for Patrolman Walter P. Langley this Sunday, June 29th at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Copeland Drive & West Street. Scouts, Parents and siblings, please join us at Mansfield High School on June 15 at 8am to help out cleaning up the Relay for Life site. We will meet in the Mansfield High School parking lot. We expect to be finished by 10:30am. This is a Class B event. Please remember to bring work gloves, a (filled) water bottle, and to wear plenty of sunscreen. We want a big turnout!
